Arthur Prysock Jr. (January 1, 1924 or 1929 – June 21, 1997) was an American jazz and R&B singer best known for his live shows and his deep baritone, influenced by Billy Eckstine. According to his obituary in The New York Times , "his heavy, deep voice projected a calm, reassuring virility."

Aug. 2012 · You cant get any better than Arthur Prysock and although this album was cut in his later years, when he could no longer sustain those glorious notes of his younger years, he was still head and shoulders, in my opinion, above any male vocalist going. Ballads, Jazz, R@B, he did it all with great interpretation and phrasing of his material and a fantastic bass-baritone voice that can curl your toes.
