Juli 2018 · I love them all for trying on Rain Tree Crow, but David Sylvian seemingly tried to tried to turn it into a solo album with cheap session musicians under the guise of collaboration with former bandmates. The superb logical conclusion of Japan, and one of the most intelligent albums of the last decade of the 20th century. Fans of Japan already know about Rain Tree Crow (or had better), and about the musicianship of all the players on this album. The arrangements and lyrics are abstract, provocative perfection.
