  4. Inspection report: Bournville School 12 and 13 March 2024 2 What is it like to attend this school? Pupils value the positive environment of this all-through school. They say that teachers know them well and that this helps to make them feel safe. The school has high expectations of pupils and they receive help to learn how to live up to these.

  5. Inspection report: Bournville School 10 and 11 November 2021 3 Most pupils have positive attitudes to learning and are keen to do well. Attendance has improved and most pupils attend regularly. However, too many pupils are regularly late to school. The school’s efforts to address this issue has had only limited success to date.

At present the curriculum is thematic and is currently being redesigned at KS1 and KS2 around ‘Big Questions’, to provide cross-curricular links which will deepen pupils’ understanding and spark their curiosity. All pupils are taught the full-breadth of the National Curriculum by their class teacher.
