The Quarrymen (also written as " the Quarry Men ") are a British skiffle / rock and roll group, formed by John Lennon in Liverpool in 1956, [2] which evolved into the Beatles in 1960. Originally consisting of Lennon and several school friends, the Quarrymen took their name from a line in the school song of their school, the Quarry Bank High School.

22. Feb. 2024 · John Charles Duff Lowe ble født 13. april 1942 og ble kjent med jevngamle Paul McCartney da de var elleve. Han ble invitert til å spille piano med the Quarrymen av Paul i februar 1958. Han ble hos the Quarrymen i to år, da sluttet han for å bli med i Ricky Tomlinsons band. I 1994 ble han med i det gjenoppståtte The Quarrymen og har sporadisk spilt med dem frem til 2017.
8. Nov. 2012 · John ‘Duff’ Lowe with his The Quarrymen record which has been named the most valuable in the world. He sold it for £12k but it’s now worth £200k. But the disc has now topped a list of the world’s top 10 most valuable records by Record Collector magazine with a price tag of £200,000.
