Track D3 was released November 9, 1967 on VOLT LP 418 "The History of Otis Redding". Tracks D4 to D8 were released April 1, 1966 on VOLT LP 413 "The Soul Album". The "recording dates" referred to above are actually the dates logged in Atlantic's files when Stax Records handed over finished tape copies of Otis' recordings.

That song became Otis Redding’s biggest worldwide hit and signature. This was Otis’ final recording before the plane crash that took his life in December 1967.
