For more than seven hours they worked outside the International Space Station (ISS) to replace a power unit. 13. Mai 2024 · Jessica Meir (born July 1, 1977, Caribou, Maine, U.S.) is an American astronaut and scientist. In 2020, Meir was chosen to be one of the 18 astronauts in the Artemis program. Artemis is the first U.S. space program since 1972 that will send astronauts to the Moon. This means Meir could become the first woman to set foot on the surface of the Moon.
