Immerhin hält der Film einige gruselige Momente parat, sodass „The Eloise Asylum“ wenigstens hin und wieder mitreißen kann. Hierbei wirken einige Szenen dennoch stark übertrieben, wie beispielsweise der Therapieansatz der „100 Nadelstiche einer Spritze“ oder das Praktizieren einer frontalen Lobotomie.
