  3. The Turtles. More images. Profile: American psychedelic folk/rock band with pop sensibilities. Formed in 1965, they broke up in 1971. Jim Tucker (2) left the band after their third album. Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman later became members of Frank Zappa 's The Mothers Of Invention. During the '70s they were also known as the producers Flo & Eddie.
