12. Okt. 2020 · Der Rat hat heute mit Zustimmung der Präsidentin der Kommission, Ursula von der Leyen, Mairead McGuinness zum neuen Mitglied der Europäischen Kommission ernannt. Diese Ernennung erfolgt im Anschluss an den Rücktritt von Phil Hogan und gilt für die verbleibende Amtszeit der Kommission, d. h. bis zum 31. Oktober 2024.
