Albert Bormann was ordered by Hitler to leave with his other two secretaries, for the Obersalzberg. This was the first "wave" of the FHQ staffs to leave the bunker. He had orders to clean out Hitler's Munich apartment of all papers etc. Which he did not really do, as the Americans got there first. Hence he went underground under an assumed name of Roth.

Nov. 2015 · Albert Bormann, born September 2nd, 1902, was the head of the Privatkanzlei des Führer’s (private chancellory) from 1933 and from 1934 onwards he was the personal adjutant to Adolf Hitler. In his new position, Bormann quickly evolved into the Führer’s confidant and he was continously in his vicinity.
