7. Juni 2019 · Geboren wurde Marc Armand Ouellet am 8. Juni 1944 in La Motte in der französischsprachigen Provinz Quebec als Sohn einer Familie mit acht Kindern. Zunächst studierte er Philosophie und Pädagogik, um sich dann der Theologie zuzuwenden. Nach der Priesterweihe 1968 arbeitete er zwei Jahre lang als Gemeindeseelsorger, bevor er für zwei weitere Jahre als Dozent nach Bogota in Kolumbien ging.
