First try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7. Right click the “Mother – Cognitive Dissonance” executable and click “Properties”. Under the “Compatibility” tab, run the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7 and click “Apply”. The game will now run in fullscreen properly by pressing Alt+Enter or F4.
jeffman made a 100% complete translation of Mother 2 (more like he ported EarthBound) for 1+2. Patch a clean rom of 1+2 with mato’s Mother 1 translation and then patch THAT with jeffman’s EarthBound translation to have both translations in the game.

This is the Mother 3 Soundfont, and while it’s for a similar game, the music and sounds used are quite different. Hopefully that’ll point you in the right direction!
Nessfan304. they should make a mother 1 remake for the DS, but it doesn’t have to be just as same as the NES version was. Maybe they can put in some mini-games or something, maybe it could be a another adventure with Ninten and friends and they could call it “Mother DS” or “Mother DX”. Posted almost 16 years ago.
