Michael Caine, der im Film den Schwiegervater von Leonardo DiCaprios Figur Cobb spielt, stellte sich nämlich dieselbe Frage und ging damit zu Regisseur Christopher Nolan, um das Drehbuch in voller Gänze zu verstehen.
