"The Final Girls" wirkt wie ein "liebenswerter" Slasher und das ist im vergleich zu den meisten blutigen Remakes, Fortsetzungen oder unzähligen Nachahmer eine besonders originelle Ausnahme. Mit reichlich Filmreferenzen, Anspielungen und einer klassischen Inszenierung geraten Horrorfans trotz minimalen Kill-Szenen letztendlich auch nicht zu kurz.
