  1. Dunwoody High School opened its doors in 1972 as Dunwoody was growing from a quiet bedroom community into a vibrant suburb of Atlanta. DHS graduated it’s first class in 1975, and in 1988 merged with Peachtree High School. The 2 schools compromised to join the school colors of red, white, and blue from Peachtree and the DHS Wildcat mascot to give Dunwoody High the spirited look it has today.
