Londonbeat. British-American Pop/Dance band who gained fame from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. Originally formed by American singers Jimmy Chambers, Jimmy Helms & George Chandler, and British multi-instrumentalist William Henshall (credited as Willy M).
He may be the William Henshaw, son of William and Elizabeth Henshaw, baptised at St. Clement Dane 19 Jan 1781 and is quite possibly to be identified with the William Henshall who married Mary Tew at St. Marylebone on 13 Jul 1800. His death was registered at Islington in the first quarter of 1843. His widow and daughter were still living at Cloudesley Terrace in 1851.
