7. März 2011 · The Scraps Companion presents NRBQ at Ardent Recording Studios in Memphis, TN, on April 30, 1972. Before this release, the only way hardcore New Rhythm & Blues Quartet fans had of hearing this performance was via tapes made of the original WMC-FM radio broadcast. The sound on this release is flawless.
The CD also includes 6 tracks and outtakes from the first day of the "Scraps" sessions. To be able to relive a April night in 1972, the radio show that turned me on to NRBQ, is almost too good. I'll give it 5 stars for sentimental value, but its full of good live Q, recommended for any NRBQ fan.
