Though if there's anything else to be said about In the Soup, beyond its obvious love for the craft of filmmaking, it's a great film that captures what it feels like to be consumed too far into your own ideas as they conflict with how they are perceived by others. It's very funny, very deadpan - feels almost like it were a Jim Jarmusch movie too.
13. Aug. 1992 · It didn’t work. A strange movie about movies, where the concept is revealed only at the end. The actors are cool, but I didn’t like the characters and the setting, they seemed interesting, but the presentation was a little bland. There’s not much drama to get you involved either, so this short film easily turns into a ridiculous spectacle.
