There are approximately 25-34 boys per grade at the school. A financial aid program ensures that the boys remain heterogeneous; as with many of its peer NYC schools. The school is private, functioning under a New York City non-profit statute enacted in the 1940s. The school is governed by a board of trustees and administered by a Head of School.

28. Aug. 2019 · Terra Holman, our new Middle School dean, comes to Buckley from Trinity School in New York City, where she was a math teacher, coach, and diversity coordinator. Terra is a graduate of Barnard College majoring in Africana studies and holds a master's in math education from City College of New York. She will also be teaching Middle School robotics.
