After kicking off the historic Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, The Association kept cutting albums well into the 1970s, although their sprawling lineup began changing considerably from year to year. But no matter who was in the mix or singing lead, however, the band’s sunny attitude dovetailed nicely with the distinctly Californian pop valentines of The Turtles and The Mamas & The Papas.

In 1967, The Association® made history being the first band anywhere to open a rock festival - the now historic, Monterey Pop Festival.. One of the most successful bands to come out of the 60’s, they have sold millions of records, tapes, CDs and DVDs as well as earned a number of achievements including a Golden Globe nomination in 1968 for Best Original Song - Goodbye Columbus.
