Barry Steven Cowsill was born in Newport, Rhode Island to William "Bud" and Barbara Cowsill. He was the third youngest of seven children (Bill, Richard, Bob, Paul, Barry, John, Susan). Career The Cowsills. As a young teenager, Barry started as the drummer (and later became known as the bass player) of the band, The Cowsills.
14. Juni 2022 · The story of Barry Cowsill comes to us from the long and tragic file of former teen idols. Barry was the drummer and bassist for late ‘60s family band, the Cowsills. In 1965, brothers Bill, Bob and Barry began performing together for the tourists who flocked to their hometown of Newport, Rhode Island. Barry was eleven at the time.
28. Aug. 2014 · Bob’s twin brother Richard, the only non-performing sibling, died of lung cancer in July. The Katrina floods also claimed the home of Susan Cowsill, the youngest in the band and the only girl.
