Partition is a film by award-winning director Ken McMullen. [1] The film is set in the turmoil surrounding the transfer of political power in British India from British to Indian hands and the Partition of the Indian subcontinent into the Dominion of Pakistan and the Republic of India in 1947. Renowned film director Masood Parvez was hero in this film. The legendary playback singer Mohammad Rafi was introduced in Lahore-made Punjabi film Gul Baloch (1944). Great music director Master Inayat Hussain was introduced in Lahore-made Punjabi film Kamli (1946), which was also the last released Punjabi film before partition.
The film's postscript reads: "The partition of India led to the largest mass migration in human history. 14 million people were displaced. One million Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs died.
