Jackie Shane. US-American vocalist born May 15, 1940 in Nashville, Tennessee. Shane relocated to Canada where she linked up with Frank Motley and worked in both the Toronto and Montreal club scenes. Shane was, atypical for the era, a transgender woman. Died on February 22, 2019.
