Louis-Michel Le Peletier (Lepeletier), Marquis de Saint-Fargeau, (* 29. Mai 1760 in Paris; † 20. Januar 1793 ebenda) war ein Politiker während der Französischen Revolution. Nach seiner Ermordung durch einen Royalisten wurde er als Revolutionsmärtyrer verehrt und hatte für wenige Jahre seine Grabstätte im Panthéon.
Louis-Michel Lepeletier de Saint-Fargeau est avocat du roi au Châtelet en 1777. En 1784, il devient avocat général au parlement de Paris puis en 1785 président à mortier (charge qui lui est réservée depuis 1779).

France was the first country in the world to debate the abolition of the death penalty in Parliament, [1] when the Penal Code of 1791 was drafted. The man chosen to present the bill, Louis-Michel Lepeletier of Saint Fargeau, was in favour of full abolition of capital punishment.
20 January 1793, eve of the execution of the King. Celebrated as the first martyr of the Revolution, his body was laid in state on Place Vendôme and, on 24 January, buried in the Panthéon. His remains were returned to his family in 1795.
