William Rennick Boone High School is a public high school in Orlando, Florida. Built in 1952, the school is one of twenty-two high schools in the Orange County Public Schools system. Two new high schools, Orlando North and Orlando South, were built after World war II to take the place of Orlando High School (which was converted into what is now Howard Middle School).
1970s. Completed in 1975 at a cost of 6.5 million dollars, West Orange High was formed as a consolidation of two over-crowded high schools within western Orange County: Lakeview High School and Ocoee High School. Ocoee High School has since been rebuilt and reinstated due to overcrowding in West Orange and Apopka High School.

To honor WWII veterans, in 1953 the school's name was changed to Apopka Memorial High School, serving grades 7–12. [8] In 1976, according to the school's alumni association, " Orange County Public Schools built a new school at the current location on Martin Street modifying the name to Apopka High School , and in 2009, the school was completely rebuilt."
