Desi Arnaz (1917 – 1986) was a Cuban-born American musician, actor and television producer. While he gained international renown for leading a Latin music band, the Desi Arnaz Orchestra, he is best known for his role as Ricky Ricardo on I Love Lucy, starring with then-wife Lucille Ball.
Sadly, Desi Arnaz passed away in 1986 due to lung cancer. Yet, his legacy, like that of Lucille Ball, who passed in 1989, lives on through their remarkable children. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz left an indelible mark on television, and their inspirational love for each other and their children reverberates to this day.
