  1. Darwin is the oldest and largest postgraduate-only College in Cambridge. We were also the first College to admit both men and women as students and fellows. Founded in 1964 in the family home of Charles Darwin’s son and grandson we are now one of the larger Colleges with around 800 postgraduate students studying everything from Anglo-Saxon to Zoology.

In 1964, the new buildings were made and in 1965 the college moved to today's location, Huntingdon Road, about a mile from the city centre of Cambridge. It has about 500 students.
