15. Okt. 2022 · Ted White, an actor and stuntman in Hollywood, best known to horror fans as Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home. He was 96 years old.
Ted White’s father, also called Ted, was the 1887 ABA heavyweight champion and, after turning professional, became the British middleweight champion. At the National Sporting Club, London in 1895 he claimed a notable scalp when he beat the American Charles “Kid” McCoy over 10 rounds. Less than four months later, McCoy was world middleweight champion.
