Vom 1. Oktober 1965 bis zum 10. Juli 1975 war er Professor für Theoretische Volkswirtschaftslehre an der neu gegründeten Ruhr-Universität Bochum. 1973 Eheschließung mit Ursula Herdick (1923–2012). Rudolf Schilcher galt als herausragender Wirtschaftswissenschaftler und gehörte zu den führenden Ökonomen an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
Das IS-LM-Modell ( I nvestment- S aving / L iquidity preference- M oney supply) ist ein Modell aus der Volkswirtschaftslehre und beschreibt das gesamtwirtschaftliche Gleichgewicht, das durch die Kombination der Gleichgewichts-Modelle zum realen Sektor ( IS-Kurve, Gütermarkt) sowie zum monetären Sektor ( LM-Kurve, Geldmarkt) entsteht.
8. Juni 2018 · Alvin Hansen was born at Viborg, South Dakota, on Aug. 23, 1887, to Danish parents. He graduated from Yankton College in South Dakota in 1910 and worked several years as a high school teacher, then principal, then county school superintendent, before returning to school for graduate studies, which he completed at the University of Wisconsin in 1918.
Hansen served on several government advisory posts, e.g. research director at the Committee on Policy in International Relations (1933-34), advisor to the Committee on Social Security (1940-41), and advisor to the Federal Reserve Board (1940-45), but his bigger impact was through his books, articles and reports.
