  2. 22. Apr. 2024 · Overview. At Moray House, we offer a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) taken three years full-time or six years part-time. The first full-time year of the PhD degree is probationary and progress to year two is subject to satisfactory progress and passing the first-year progression board. All research degrees culminate in the submission of a thesis.

  3. 1998. Moray House celebrates its 150th anniversary and formally merges with the University of Edinburgh, becoming the Faculty of Education at the University of Edinburgh. The name is soon changed to Moray House School of Education. After the merger, the sport degrees are re-validated to fit with the University undergraduate model.
