Child of The Seventies was recorded for Atco Records at Muscle Shoals in 1972, but inexplicably shelved before release. In 1999, the small French label "Art & Soul" licensed the masters (together with Bettye's Atlantic singles from the early 60s) and released the compilation as Souvenirs .
