2008 digitally remastered two CD set containing a pair of albums from Felix Cavaliere and the Rascals: Peaceful World (1971) and Island Of Real (1972), both originally released on Columbia Records. As The Young Rascals, the band had enormous singles chart success on Atlantic Records, and their move to Columbia was more album-orientated.
While the Rascals were know for the "blue eyed soul", Felix chose a divergent path. Rather than talking about unrequited love, he chose to show his Christianity in a fusion of jazz, soul, and rock.
