After checking various misfits discographies, it seems the album was originally mastered in 1982 for the three or four times it was originally pressed in 1982. By 1988, CD had come along, so it was time for a reissue and with the reissue another mastering (one of the Misfit sites seems to confirm this with acetates cut by Bernie Grundman Mastering in the summer of '88) for CD.
