Anton Herman Gerard 'Anthony' Fokker (Países Bajos, 6 de abril de 1890-Nueva York, Estados Unidos, 23 de diciembre de 1939) fue un famoso constructor de aviones neerlandés. En 1910 se estableció en Alemania, donde diseñó y construyó su primer avión, al que denominó Spin (araña), debido a la maraña de tensores necesaria para mantener unida la frágil estructura del monoplano.
Bereits im Herbst 1910 begann Anton Herman Gerard Fokker mit dem Entwurf und Bau eines Aeroplans nach eigenen Ideen. Er nutzte dazu die Werkstatt der ersten deutschen Automobilfachschule Mainz und schaffte es auch, den flugbegeisterten Mitstudenten Franz von Daum für die Finanzierung eines Motors zu gewinnen. Nach mehreren Versuchen holte Fokker sich die professionelle Hilfe eines Ingenieurs.
