I rehearsed it on my drive to work, and that became the short film. For the feature, it took me a year to have the idea for the opening scene to be the eulogy, rather than the climax. As soon as I had that idea, it was like, alright, well, this functions as a 90-minute narrative. After that, within five months we were shooting the feature.
