Richard Prince. Exhibition of the Collection. From 3 June 2015 to 4 January 2016. Pop & Music. The collection is constantly evolving. This third presentation of the Collection of the Fondation's artworks, with popist lines, including music and sound, gather more than twenty contemporary artists.
Prince added bright colors and graphic elements to the original images, softened the focus, and raised the contrast, evoking the gaudy allure of a peep show or another cheap diversion. Since the 1970s an important aspect of Prince's work has been his use of photographic techniques to recycle and reconfigure imagery appropriated from advertising and popular culture.
D’octobre 2019 à janvier 2020, Richard Prince présente l’exposition Portraits au Musée d’Art Contemporain de Detroit. Après une enfance passée près de Boston, Richard Prince arrive à New York au début des années 1970 et trouve un emploi au département des archives de Time Life , où il est chargé de classer des coupures de presse par sujet ou par auteur.
