Courses. These courses must be taken first: EDESL 783 – Methodology of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (3 credits, 45 fieldwork hours) LING 703 – Analysis and Structure of English 1 (3 credits) These courses are prerequisites for other courses in the program. If you can only take one course per semester, take EDESL 783 first.

Prior to joining the OASA, she worked as a Programs Assistant for the Bilingual Education and TESOL programs, and briefly with the Office of Clinical Experiences. In addition to a career in international education spanning over 13 years, and which included a 2-year stint in Tokyo, Bonnie was most recently the Assistant Director at a private English language school founded by Hunter graduates.
Students will teach a weekly Saturday course to complete their practicum teaching of 60 hours. Students are placed in the TESOL Program Community Outreach Program in English (COPE) at Hunter College by the TESOL Adult Program Coordinator. Application.
