He also makes DM look more authentic to the public as Tom Cruise is an A-list celeb. It's fair to say he is an invaluable asset to DM and as a result him and DM have become extremely close.

It isn't that Tom cruise happens to be a scientologist, it's that he promotes scientology. He's worked with the organization to help recruit and received special honors and recorded interviews for their videos. The only celeb who has done that sort of thing for a christian church that I can think of is Bieber with Hillsong.
