Thank you for your interest in joining Essex & Herts Air Ambulance for your Student Selected Component (SSC)/elective placement. We welcome applications from UK-based student paramedics and medical students (year 4 onwards). Please note we can only accommodate placements of four to six continuous weeks and placements must form part of your official course curriculum.
The 2022 incoming elective programme is now full. Applications for the 2023 elective programme will be open from February 14th to July 1st 2022. The University of Cambridge’s School of Clinical Medicine is able to provide a number of elective placements each year for Medical students based outside of Cambridge.
