Karl Kautsky (1854 - 1938), österreichischer Sozialist, war der prominenteste Vertreter marxistischer Orthodoxie in der Zweiten Internationale. Er leitete bis 1917 das SPD-Organ "Die Neue Zeit", die führende Zeitschrift der marxistischen Arbeiterbewegung.
