This compilation is made up of both sides of her first two UK hits (tracks 1 to 4, released originally in 1965), one entire album (The magic of Jackie Trent, also from 1965, which occupies tracks 5 to 16 here), plus a selection of tracks recorded between 1967 and 1969 (tracks 17 to 25). Some of these tracks have previously appeared on CD.
Jackie Trent (born 6 September 1940, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England - died 21 March 2015, Minorca, Spain) was a British singer, songwriter and actress. She was married to Tony Hatch from 1966 until their divorce in 2002. Jackie wrote over 400 songs, many in collaboration with Hatch, and a handful with Petula Clark.

Jackie Trents eerste podiumoptreden was als tienjarige in de pantomimeshow Babes in the Wood, maar ze had liever een carrière als popzangeres. Haar eerste single Pick Up the Pieces werd gepubliceerd in 1962, maar na twee platenlabels en drie jaar later had ze haar eerste en grootste hit Where Are You Now (My Love)? , die in mei 1965 de toppositie van de Britse hitlijst veroverde.
