About Naked Lunch Founded in Klagenfurt, Austria in 1991, the band Naked Lunch has consistently featured vocalist/guitarist Oliver Welter as a mainstay of the lineup. Beginning as an alternative rock outfit, the group recorded an EP and full-length album for the Big Store label and subsequently signed to Mercury, which released the band's second album, Superstardom, in 1997.
