12. Mai 2013 · Stan Cullimore will always be fondly remembered for being the geeky one in specs who played the guitar. The band split in 1988. What happened to Stan afterwards? Well, let's find out. But first, let's go back to the start of the story. Welcome Stan.
The band was formed in late 1983 by Paul Heaton (vocals) and Stan Cullimore (guitar), initially as a busking duo. Throughout his tenure with the band, Heaton billed himself as "P.d. Heaton". Heaton and Cullimore recorded a demo tape with Ingo Dewsnap and Sharon Green of Les Zeiga Fleurs which brought them to the attention of Go! Discs.
19. Juli 2020 · Guitarist Stan Cullimore left music, getting married in 1988 and first running a grocery shop before going on to be a prolific author of children’s books. He eventually returned to music as a writer of songs for children’s television shows, including the 2010 series, The Bopps. He has also turned to journalism in recent years.
