Nils Lofgren is a virtuoso rock guitarist who has recorded and performed with Bruce Springsteen as a member of the E Street Band, Ringo Starr and Neil Young. He enjoys a successful solo career as a founding member of the seventies group Grin through over 40 releases including Acoustic Live, The Loner – Nils Sings Neil and an extensive box set retrospective Face The Music.
Lofgren would maintain a close musical relationship with Young, appearing on his Tonight's the Night album and tour among others. He was also briefly a member of Crazy Horse, appearing on their 1971 LP and contributing songs to their catalogue. He is also known as a member of Bruce Springsteens E Street Band since 1984.
For over 40 years Nils Lofgren has been playing and performing with some of the biggest names in music including Neil Young, Ringo Starr and of course Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. 22. Jan. 2016 · Born in Chicago in 1951 to an Italian mother and Swedish father, Lofgren latched onto music at an early age and never let go. By 1968, he had formed Grin, a proto-power trio built around his weighty riffs and for whom he was also singer and chief songwriter. Soon after this he met Neil Young, sneaking backstage at a local club to seek him out.
