Layton’s solo album was a disappointment, with a limp cover of Janet Kay’s ‘Silly Games’ notwithstanding. An MOR club sound was engaged which did little to bolster the flimsy song structures, even though Norman Cook from her old band and Jolly Harris Jolly were still on hand as part of the backroom set-up. She later recorded with Steve P in the big beat outfit, Hardknox.
