11. Feb. 2007 · Tom Constanten has always been a hero to this Dead fan, a major contributor to the three most creative albums (Anthem, Aoxo, Live/Dead) of the band. If his autobiographical version of his problems with Mickey Hart is true, what an unfortunate turn of events for the Dead's future - perhaps the conservatism of Workingman's Dead was inevitable, but it broke my heart.

Tom Constanten played keyboards for the Grateful Dead for a short period at the end of the 1960s. He initially contributed to the recording of Anthem Of The Sun in 1967. Subsequently he joined the Dead in November 1968 and performed and recorded as a group member until leaving in January 1970. Additions, corrections and comments are welcome.
