Christy Moore’s Live in Dublin 2006 (double CD and DVD) I write this as Europe prepares for two nights of the Eurovision Song Contest, in which each country submits a song, often performed by a starry-eyed youngster, who does his or her best to cover his or her roots, singing to a pre-recorded backing, with much emphasis put on clothes, dancing and wind machines.
Musikalische Entwicklung. Christy Moore wurde 1945 in Newbridge, westlich von Dublin, geboren. Mit seinem Schulfreund Dónal Lunny gründete er die Band Rakes of Kildare. [1] Er machte eine Banklehre und ging schließlich 1966 nach England, wo er sich in der Londoner Pub- und Musikerszene durchschlug und zahlreiche irische Musiker kennenlernte.
