9. Jan. 2009 · Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich - named after the five friends' nicknames - first entered the UK chart in December 1965 with You Make it Move, which peaked at number 26. Subsequent singles included Hold Tight!, Bend It! and Save Me. Between 1965 and 1969 they spent more weeks in the UK singles charts than any other band.
In 1969 Dave Dee embarked on a solo career, while the remaining quartet (now dubbed D, B, M & T) went their own way. Between 1969 and 1972 the two camps issued a total of 11 singles (all included here), with Dee's solo output consisting of pleasant, if unremarkable, MOR pop (yielding one UK hit, "My Woman's Man").
