First released as an album by Taste titled 'First'. The album was recorded in July 1967 and released after the split of Taste. Later released as a Rory Gallagher 1974 album and on In Concert / In The Beginning (Taste First) ,1986. Contrary to what some covers says, this album was recorded with Norman Damery on drums and Eric Kitteringham on bass.

Bio: The Taste formed in August 1966. The roots of the band can be traced back to Rory Gallagher's tenure with the Impact and Fontana Showbands.

Taste (2) Trio formed in 1966 by Irish guitarist and songwriter Rory Gallagher (1948-1995), Eric Kitteringham (bass) and Norman Damery (drums) (Eric and Norman were replaced in 1968 by Richard McCracken and John Wilson (3) ). Taste has recorded three studio albums and two live, including the memorable "Live at the Isle of Wight" in 1970.
This was the family home of bass guitarist Eric Kitteringham, who formed the first Taste band line up, with Norman Damery on drums and with Rory Gallagher on lead guitar. Sat, 27 Feb, 2016
