Zwar erzählt der Film auch die Vorgeschichte von Pilatus und Morvan, ohne dabei wirklich in die Tiefe zu gehen, aber alle anderen Charaktere in Girl You Know It’s True bleiben weitgehend Stichwortgeber und wandelnde Klischees. Dass das aber dem Spaß keinen Abbruch tun muss, beweist vor allem Matthias Schweighöfer als Frank Farian.
